Procedure

1. The application for registering as a British Citizen should be made at the Immigration Department.
2. The applicant obtains the application form from the appropriate office and submits the completed application form along with the supporting documents that are required.
3. After checking the application for completeness a fee for processing the application is requested.
4. If the application is approved after validation a certificate is issued to the applicant.
5. Applicant is contacted and informed of the decision and the date and time of the ceremony where the certificate is awarded to the applicant.

• Local Police Record (Child who is age 10-17, a local Police Record is required for both parents and child)
• Certificates of Good Standing Inland Revenue
• Certificates of Good Standing Social Security
• Letter of consent by parents (if applicable)
