Procedure

Purpose of an agricultural Air operator certificate is for Environmental protection

1. Obtain an application for renewal of an AAOC from the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority on a form prescribed by the Authority at least sixty days before the certificate expires.
2. Fill the form and attach the copies of required documents as prescribed by the Authority on renewal Form.
3. In the event you are making any changes during renewal, you will be required to attach relevant legal proof of changes.
4. Pay the prescribed fees in the Bank before you submit your application.
5. The officer will verify the information you have presented and present you application for processing to the Authority.
6. The Authority if certified with the submitted document shall issue new Agricultural Air Operator Certificate.
7. Where the request for renewal is made after the expiry of an AAOC, the applicant shall make an initial application.

Required Documents

Private applicant

• Hold a current Uganda private pilot license (PPL), commercial pilot license (CPL) or airline transport pilot license (ATPL).
• Be properly rated for the aircraft to be used.
• Not conduct operations for hire or reward but only for private Agricultural air operations.

Commercial applicant

• Have available the services of at least one pilot who holds a current CPL or ATPL issued by the Authority and who is properly rated for the aircraft to be used.
• Possess an air service license issued under the Civil Aviation (Licensing of Air services) Regulations.
• The applicant for a private or commercial agricultural air operator certificate shall have one or more certified and airworthy aircraft, equipped for agricultural operation.
• The applicant for AAOC shall show that he or she has satisfactory knowledge and skill of the following agricultural aircraft operations.

An applicant for renewal of Agricultural Air Operator Certificate shall meet in full the eligibility requirements stated in Civil Aviation Authority of Uganda.
