Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. Application for a registration Agriculture Chemical Premises is done in person by visiting the Agricultural Chemicals Board Head Offices at the Ministry Of Agriculture Animal industry and fisheries or their field offices in the counties.
2. Here you will be issued with an Application Form F for Registration of Agricultural Chemical premises to fill and submit.
3. This form can also be downloaded online by visiting the following Link Application Form
4. Fill in the required information; properly select.
5. Attach the required documents to the application before. These include:
   • Duly filled application form F
   • Copy of Certificate of Incorporation or Registration Certificate
   • Copy of dully signed Articles and Memorandum of Association
   • Copies of ID or Passports of Company Directors
   • Copy of valid County Government’s Single Business Permit
   • Copy of URA’s PIN Certificate for the company
   • Copy of valid URA’s Tax Compliance Certificate
   • Copy of valid NEMA’s Environmental Impact Assessment or Environmental Audit Certificate where applicable
   • Copy of Public Health’s Food Drugs and Chemical Substances License where applicable
6. Submit the completed application form and pay the required application fee of Ugshs. 3000 and submit the receipt as proof of payment.
7. This is followed by an inspection of applicants Agricultural chemical premises by the Agricultural Chemicals Board Officers
8. Recommendations based in findings of the investigation will be made to the Agricultural Chemicals Board Headquarters for final approvals Board approval.
9. At this point the applicant is notified if he/she has been successfully registered or which rectifications have to be made for them to be registered as agricultural chemical premises.
10. Upon a successful approval the agriculture chemical premises registration applicant is notified and he/she will be required to pay the registration fee of Ugshs. 500,000 to the Agricultural Chemical Board and submit the receipt as proof of payment.
11. Once the certification process is done the Agriculture Chemical Premises Registration Certificate is issued to the applicant.

Eligibility

Any person, Agricultural group or company who intends to engage in Chemical distribute or warehouse premises must register with the Agriculture Chemical Board.

Fees

• Application Fee: 3000 Ugshs.
  
• License Fee: 500,000 Ugshs.
  
• Renewal Fee: 500,000 Ugshs
  

Validity

Validity: 5 Years.

Need for the Document

• Agricultural chemical premises registration certificate authorizes the holder to conduct the business of producing and storing Agriculture Chemical in Uganda.
• No person can store or produce Agricultural chemical unless he is the holder of a current Agricultural chemical premises registration certificate issued in respect thereof by the Agricultural Chemical Board after consultation with the Ministry of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries.
