Procedure

The National Social Security Fund (Caisse nationale de sécurité sociale – CNSS) provides services to its affiliates and their beneficiaries, taking into consideration the specificities of each legal system. Tunisia National Social Security Centres Regional and Local Contact Details

1. Family benefits, comprising family  allowances, one-wage allowance, maternity allowance
2. Death benefit and death grant
3. Old‐age pension, disability, and survivors’ pensions for private-sector employees and self-employed persons.
4. Supplementary pension system for employees in the non-agricultural sector.

Apply in Person:

1. An application to register a Family with Social Security shall be made to the Tunisia National Social Security Centres Regional and Local offices.
2. Here applicants are issued with the appropriate application forms, and carefully complete the appropriate information under the relevant sections. The forms should be attested (signature) by the applicant once completed.
3. Attach the supporting documentation as listed under the” Required Documents” section of this page and should be submitted for assessment and verification.
4. Upon receipt of the application dossier the CNSS staff, will proceed to check for completeness and correctness, before registering the application file for assessment and consideration.
5. After a successful documentation evaluation phase is complete the CNSS shall proceed to the next step where it shall update the CNSS member’s information by including his/her beneficiaries (family members) details.

• Birth certificate (In case of children)
• Marriage certificate (in case of a spouse)
• CNSS member’s registration card
• Member’s applicable identification document
• Any other additional supporting documentation as requested by the authority.

Eligibility

• Registered members of the National Social Security Fund (Caisse nationale de sécurité sociale – CNSS) that wish to include their spouse or children are eligible to apply for this service.

Fees

• No fees are associated with this service.

Validity

• Registration remains valid as long as contributions are made by the registered member.

• National/Alien identity card number of the member
• Nationality
• CNSS Member’s card number
• Details of next of Kin (Name and ID number or Birth Certificate)
