ProcedureEdit

  1. Go to a Tongan Electoral Commission office or to assigned registration centers in your constituencies during registration times.
  2. Obtain a registration form and fill it in.
  3. Go to the photo capturing section assistant and have your photo taken.
  4. Sign your registration form and submit it.
  5. Leave with your bar-coded sticker containing your voter registration number.

  • At least 21 years of age; and
  • Not insane or imbecile;
  • Not hold a criminal record with a prison sentence of 2 years or more.

InstructionsEdit

  • You must register in person.
  • Anyone who is qualified to vote can register at the Office of the Electoral Commission in Nuku'alofa or at the Governor's Office in Vava'u and Ha'apai or at the Offices of the Government Representatives in 'Eua, Niuatoputapu and Niuafo'ou.
  • The registration continues until it is closed fourteen (14) days prior to the date of the Election.
  • You can contact the main office of the Tonga Electoral Commission to check if you are a registered voter.
  • All registered voters will only need to re-register if they have changed their home address or the TEC have informed you that your voting constituency or electoral district has changed.
  • All registered voters will only need to re-register if:
    • They have changed their home address therefore, moving to another village in another consitutency; or
    • The Tongan Electoral Commission have informed you that your voting constituency or electoral district has changed.
