Procedure

• Go to the Ministry of Transport.
• Present the required documents listed below.
• Pay the necessary fees.

• Registered motor vehicle certification / Registration number plates
• Conduct annual inspection (WOF)
• Issued certificate of registration (ownership certificate)

  • weighting 1500kg and less than 3000kg $50
  • weighting 3000kg and less than 5000kg $60
  • weighting 5000kg and over $70
  • Motor Cycle $30
  • Motor Tricycle $30
  • Invalid Carriage FREE

Public, Company, Taxi and Rental

• All Motor Vehicles
  • weighting 1000kg and less $50
  • weighting 1001kg and less than 1500kg $60
  • weighting 1500kg and less than 3000kg $70
  • weighting 3000kg and less than 5000kg $90
  • Motor Cycle $40
  • Motor Tricycle $40

General Registration

• Transfer of Registration / Ownership $100
• Transfer to outer island $30
• Reissue of Registration & Examination $30

Validity

Instructions

APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION NEW VEHICLE

1. All vehicle imported and purchase from dealers must comply to registration after release from custom and dealers
2. Imported vehicle document and purchases dealer document submitted
3. Initial inspection must be taken for warrant of fitness comply with traffic act and regulation
4. Quarterly licence, normal plate, special plate, warrant of fitness are issued at the Ministry of Transport (Land Transport Division) after initinspection conducted for road worthy
5. Owner will install no plate and sticker for licence quarter and warrant of fitness sticks left hand side of windscreen of motor vehicles
