Procedure

1. To have your marriage registered, you will need to go to your local district office.
2. A link is provided under "Office Locations & Contacts" section which you can use to obtain contact information to different district offices.
3. It will be good if you can give the district office a call first before going there. You may ask the officer in charge which documents you will need to bring when you apply for the procedure.

If you are outside Thailand

You may use the link provided under "Office Locations & Contacts" to get in touch with the nearest Thai Embassy. The Embassy's consular service section will be able to help in processing your request to register your marriage in Thailand.

Documents required for Thai males or females:

• Original of certificate of marital status issued by district office in Thailand and legalized by Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
• Original of passport and Thai ID

Documents required for non-Thai females:

• Original of passport
