Procedure

Apply Online through Meeseva Portal

1. Use the following link to access portal Meeseva : Portal Link
2. If you already registered with the website, please enter thr ceredentials and login. If you are a new user, please click on "New User" below login option to register yourself and then login.
3. After logging, look for service related to Civil Supplies Or "CORRECTIONS IN FOOD SECURITY CARD" and follow the prompts to proceed with the application.

Apply through Meeseva centre

1. Applicant can reach out to the nearest Meeseva centre to apply.
2. Contact details Meeseva centre link in the given page, please select the “Contact US” option on the right side of the screen and choose “Authorized Service Provider” option to reach the page. Once you reach the page, please click on the numbers listed horizontally along your desired district to get the list of Meeseva service providers who you can contact.
3. Applicant can download the form from the following link: Forms Link in the home page, please click on "Download" option in menu and select the “Application Forms” option on the left part of the screen to reach the “Application Forms” page. Here, please select “Civil Supplies” option to get a list of forms. Here, please click on the “Correction in Food Security Card” application form to download.
4. Fill the application form and submit the form along with the required documents and fees to the Meeseva officer at the counter.
5. The details will be processed online.
6. Applicant gets application number as acknowledgement and the same will be sent as “Email” and as “SMS” to the registered email ID and registered mobile number respectively. Please save it for future reference.
7. This application will be forwarded to the concerned Ward/ Gram Panchayath official for verification. The concerned official visits the house of the applicant for verification and approves the request, if the applicant is found eligible.
8. The applicant is informed through SMS at various stages i.e., Advance intimation about date of visit of the official to his place of residence for verification of his application, Approval/Rejection of his application.
9. After ground level verification ration card will be issued in 2 – 3 weeks as notified by the department.

Apply In-Person

1. Ration Card holder should approach the ration shop/office of your area OR The concerned office as advised by the ration office/shop

3. Please go to the respective office.
4. Applicant shall obtain the form from the respective office (please pay for the form if required) Or a written/electronically typed application on A4 plain sheet as advised shall be used.
5. Applicant can download the form from the following link: Forms Link in the home page, please click on the “Application Forms” option on the left part of the screen to reach the “Application Forms” page. Here, please select “Civil Supplies” option to get a list of forms. Here, please click on the “Application for New Food Security Card” application form to download.
6. Please submit the completed application along with the required documents to the respective authority.
7. Authorities after checking the submitted application along with the attached documents will make entries and provide you record number for reference.
8. Keep it safe for future reference.

Eligibility

• A valid ration card holder.
• The applicant and his/her family must be Indian citizens and should be resident of the state.
• The applicant or his family members must not possess any family card in any State in India (If they had one, it has to be withdrawn).
• The applicant and members of the family must be close relatives.
• New born above 5 years
• Addition of member name after marriage

Fees

• Fee information can be obtained directly from the department office while applying.

Validity

• Validity remains same
• Usually Family identity card is valid for lifetime and will be renewed in 5 years or based on announcement.
