Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Application for getting a Tourist Operator License in Tanzania is available in Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism – contact link
2. Applicant must provide all necessary information in the application form.
3. Applicant should make sure to carry both photocopies and originals of all documents that are needed for completing this procedure.
4. Documents that are needed for completing this procedure is mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicant must attach photocopies of all documents along with the application form while submitting it at the office.
6. Fee for this procedure is TZS 11,495,001.68 that has to be paid at the office while submitting the application.
7. If all the above-mentioned procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the registration will be done within 1 week.
8. Applicant will be notified by concerned authorities regarding the availability of license via SMS or Email.
9. Applicant can visit the office for getting their licenses after receiving notification from concerned authorities.
10. If there is no information regarding the license is provided, applicant can visit the office to know status of their application.

• Any Individual who wants to be a tourist operator is eligible.

Fees

• Fee for this procedure is TZS 11,495,001.68

Validity

• Tourist Operator License is valid for 5 years.

• Name and address of bank or financial institution where business account is maintained
• Name of Proprietor or managing director if a limited company
• Details of the managing director
