- Please use the following : Link
- In the given homepage, please click on the “Online Services” menu and choose “LT - Name Transfer” option under “Existing Service Connection” section at the right end of the screen to get a “enter the details” page.
- Please complete the prompts as applicable. Make sure you enter the phone number that you have right now to receive an OTP. Click on the “Generate OTP” button.
- Please enter the received “OTP” at the prompted space and click on the “Verify OTP” button to get the guidelines page.
- Go through the instructions. Please download the forms that need to be filled and uploaded while apply online.
- Once the document to be uploaded are in place, please click on th “Apply” button at the bottom the same page to go to the next page.
- Here please enter the service connection number at the prompted space and hit the “Enter” button to reach the online applying page..
- Please complete the prompts as appropriate, upload documents as applicable and finally click on the “Proceed” button.
- The applicant will reach the “Terms and Conditions” page.
- Please go through the terms, click on the check box and hit on the “NEXT” button.
- In the new page, please complete the prompts and other required details as appropriate. Once all are done, click on the “Pay” button at the bottom.
- The applicant shall process the payment as per the online application mode they choose and complete the submission of application form.
- A system generated acknowledgement will be displayed on the screen. Also, a SMS alert will hit your mobile number.
- Please save them for future reference.
- This application will be processed further.
- The process includes verification of submitted documents, inspection from the department technician as allotted and other required process to get the name changed.
- On successful completion of the name change process, the department alerts through SMS.
- The new electricity meter reading booklet in the new owner’s name ensures the process completion.
Apply In-Person:
- On registering a property, the actual registered owner as per registrar’s record should get the name changed in the electricity meter.
- The present owner of the property - consumer shall visit the concerned bill payment or the electricity office of the executive officer for your area
- The office at which the consumer remits electricity consumption bill is the office that will accept the application form.
- Please use the following Link. In the given page, please click on the “Reach Us” menu and hit the “Contact Information” option from the drop down.
- Please navigate to get the office contact details. Please visit the office and confirm that the application shall be submitted at that office and get latest updated information if any.
- If available, the consumer shall request for the service. The office authority concerned will provide an application form and provides the guidelines about the procedure.
- The form 4 and form for undertaking is very important form to be filled as guided by the authorities.

- This application set will be checked to ascertain, whether all are in place. If all are in place, it will be accepted.
- The authority will make sure the sale deed registered with EC has the applicant’s name.

- The applicant will get a receipt for the submission of application. An SMS would have been sent to the applicant’s mobile number.

- An indemnity bond on stamp paper (Value as advised by authorities and can be easily sourced from any notary office)
