Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. In Rajasthan, the “Social Justice and Empowerment Department” has a special board called “Senior Citizen Board”.
2. The applicants are advised to meet the authorities at the respective area social justice department office and get the advice on any updated process for applying.
3. If you have a problem in locating the office, please visit your block or ward office to get the respective office. The respective department wing will shall be located nearby.

6. In the given page, please select the respective state as applicable to reach the respective state districts page. Please check and scroll down for the “Districts” section. Please click on the “View All” option to reach the districts page. Here click on the applicable district to reach the official district page.
7. Here click on the menu and sub option as “DIRECTORY / PUBLIC UTILITIES / Municipalities” to reach a page with required contact information for locating the respective authority’s office. Also Please look for other menu and sub options as “ABOUT DISTRICT / Who’s Who”.
8. On locating the right office, visit the office and meet the respective designated staff. Request for the service. Once the staff explains, collect the application form if provided or write on a plain A4 sheet as advised.
9. Submit the completed application form along with the documents that are mandatory for applying. 
10. Once the application is accepted, authorities might provide an acknowledgement or any other receipt for the application accepted. Keep it safe for future reference.
11. This application will be processed internally. Verification of submitted documents will also be carried.
12. After successful completion, a Card will be delivered to the applicant through postal or in person as per the applicable norms.
13. The whole process of issuing the Senior Citizen card will take 7 working days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

• You can apply by calling the National Helpline number "14567" for the Elders and they should be able to facilitate you to get a Senior Citizen Certificate or Identity Card.

• Pan card ( For Monthly Pension above Rs.15,000 per month)
• Birth certificate / document to prove the age

Get the senior citizen certificate from the concerned circle officer or DC office.

Required Information

Following are the required information to apply for the senior citizen certificate

• Age of the applicant
• Ration card details

Need for the Document

• The Government of India provides facilities for citizens above the age of 60 years. In order to avail those facilities one has to get the certificate.
• The senior citizen certificate will allow the holder to receive numerous benefits like discounts in Railways, Flights and other benefits from the government.

Information which might help

• Without cross signature(half on paper and half on photograph) and signature on undertaking, the application will be rejected
• One has to produce the card to prove the authorities whenever asked for. So, this card must be carried always.

NOTE : It is a punishable offense to try with fraudulent documents to get a Senior citizen certificate

• The senior citizen certificate can also use for a government benefits and schemes, healthcare subsidies, travel concessions, etc.
