Puducherry - Online Register a Marriage
- Step 1 : First one has to make sure that all the required documents are in hand to apply online. If you would like to know about the documents that are required for this procedure, please visit the following link : Required Documents for Registering a Marriage
- Step 2 : Please use the following link to apply online : Apply Online.
- Step 3 : Complete the application form with valid details for marriage registration.
- Step 4 : Now choose the option in which language you want your marriage certificate to be printed. Refer the below image where it is highlighted in Yellow. Then click “SEND APPLICATION” tab which is highlighted in RED.
- Step 5 : Application submitted will be processed further. Applicant will be notified to meet the officials.
- Step 6 : Please visit the office and follow authorities’ guidelines to complete the process.
- Step 7 : On the said date, applicant along with witness shall present before the registrar. Please submit the printout as obtained along with required documents.
- Step 8 : Please follow the guidelines of the authorities to complete the formalities for registration.
- Step 9 : Applicant and witness will be asked to sign on the registry to endorse their marriage.
- Step 10 : The Certificate will be issued on the same day for the already solemnized marriage.
- Step 11 : In case of the application made in advance (before marriage) for the issuance of certificate, authorities will look for any objection from public for thirty days and then the process will be executed on the day of marriage by a assigned authority and the certificate will be issued as applicable.
