Apply Online

  1. To add or delete name in ration card, the applicant needs to visit the following website: Link
  2. On the given screen, click on the "Login" option on the menu and select "Citizen Login".
  3. If you have already registered with the portal, please enter the login credentials and click "Login" button.
  4. If you are new user, please select "Citizen" option on the menu and select "Citizen Registration" to register yourself by entering all the requested information and login.
  5. Once logged in, Please choose the option appropriately as explained below to start with the application.
    1. "Deletion of Member" to delete a member name from ration card.
    2. "Inclusion of Child Name" to add a child's name in ration card.
    3. "Inclusion of Adult Name" to add an adult in ration card.
  1. Once all the information is filled and requested documents has been uploaded as requested.
  2. Please pay the appropriate fee and submit the application.
  3. Your application will be processed by the authorities and the application status can be understood by providing appropriate information through the following link : Application Status



Apply In-Person

  1. Ration Card holder should approach your near by ration shop to add or delete name in ration card.
  2. Please go to the shop and check with the personnal to add or delete name in ration card and they should be able to help you.
  3. Applicant shall obtain the form from the respective office (please pay for the form if required) Or a written/electronically typed application on A4 plain sheet as advised shall be used.
  4. Please submit the completed application along with required documents to the respective authority.
  5. Authorities after checking the submitted application along with attached documents will make entries and provide you record number for reference.
  6. Keep it safe for future reference.
  7. This application will be forwarded to the concerned Ward/Grama Panchayath official for verification. The concerned official visits the house of the applicant for verification and approves the request, if the applicant is found eligible.
  8. The applicant is informed through SMS at various stages i.e., Advance intimation about date of visit of the official to his place of residence for verification of his application, Approval/Rejection of his application.
  9. After ground level verification ration card will be issued in 10 daysor as notified by the department



Apply through CSC:

  1. To add or delete name in ration card the applicant has to approach the nearest CSC  Link
    NOTE:To check the contact details of the CSC centre, please select the District and Block.
  2. The applicant has to visit the nearest centre.
  3. The applicant has to inform all the details to the respective operator.
  4. The operator will enter the details in the portal with the given details.
  5. Please pay as per applicable service charges if any.
  6. The processing time for this procedure is immediate.

    • Original ration card of the family with parent’s name
    • ID Proof of Parents such as PAN Card, Aadhaar Card

EligibilityEdit

  • A valid ration card holder.
  • The applicant and his/her family must be Indian citizens and should be resident of the state.
  • The applicant or his family members must not possess any family card in any State in India (If they had one, it has to be withdrawn).
  • The applicant and members of the family must be close relatives.
  • New born above 5 years
  • Addition of member name after marriage

  • 10 rupee
  • Fee information can be obtained directly from the department office while applying.

  • Validity remains same
  • Usually Family identity card is valid for lifetime and will be renewed in 5 years or based on announcement.

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • For implementation of the Targeted Public Distribution System(TPDS), Ration Card is being issued to all the heads of families, with details about family members included in the card. Based on their economic condition, people can buy goods like food grains, sugar and kerosene with the help of their ration cards.
