STEP 2: To start your application, click this link – IPOPHL Industrial Design Electronic Filing System.
STEP 3: Click the “APPLY FOR A DESIGN ONLINE” text (Highlighted in GREEN box).

STEP 4: This is the basic information page. Enter the title of your industrial design on the space highlighted in YELLOW, and upload a representative drawing of your design. To upload your file, click the “UPLOAD” button (Highlighted in RED).

STEP 5: After uploading the image, click the “NEXT” button (Highlighted in PURPLE).

STEP 6: Next, you will need to complete the applicant, designer, and agent forms. First, complete the information regarding the applicant. Click the “+ Add Applicant” button (Highlighted in RED).

STEP 7: After you have completed the form, click the “Save” button (Highlighted in RED).

STEP 8: Next, fill up the designer information form. Click the “+ Add Designer” button (Highlighted in RED).

STEP 9: After you have completed the Designer Information Form, click the “Save” button (Highlighted in RED).

STEP 10: In case the application is to be filed by an agent or representative, the agent/representative information form must also be completed. To add an agent, click the “+ Add Agent” button (Encircled in PURPLE). Once you are done completing the forms, click the “NEXT” button (Highlighted in RED box).

STEP 11: Applications claiming for priority rights must complete the Claim for Priority Information Form. After completing the form click the “Save” button (Highlighted in PURPLE). Once saved, click the “NEXT” button (Highlighted in GREEN box) to move on to the next step.

STEP 12: The next part of the application process is documentation. You will need to upload the required files in PDF form. All drawings must be compiled in one PDF file. To upload your file, click the “Upload File” button (Highlighted in RED box). When you finished uploading your files, click the “NEXT” button (Highlighted in PURPLE box) to move on to the next step.

STEP 13: This is the fees computation page. You will need to tick the boxes that corresponds to the specifics of your application so that the system can generate the total amount to be paid.

STEP 14: When the total amount to be paid is generated click the “NEXT” button (Highlighted in PURPLE box) to move on to the next page.

STEP 15: This is the information review page. Here you can see all the information you have entered earlier and the total amount that you will need to pay. Carefully review your application and make sure that all information shown are correct.

STEP 16: After you have reviewed your application, click the “NEXT” button (Highlighted in GREEN box).

STEP 17: This is the payment information page. Enter the name of the payor and any additional info about the payor. As for the payment mode, you may choose to pay via DragonPay or DBP VISA. After completing the form, click the “SUBMIT” button (Highlighted in YELLOW box).

STEP 18: After you have completed the online form and paid the filing fee, an acknowledgment receipt will be generated. The acknowledgment receipt is your evidence that the application was received by the IPOPHL containing the Application Number and Filing Date.
STEP 19: Your application will be examined by IPOPHL. The Office will also publish your industrial design application for 30 days.
STEP 20: Once approved, a Certificate of Registration will be issued to you. Also, the IPOPHL will publish the newly registered industrial design to inform the public.
