Jammu and Kashmir - Online Register as an Exporter


Step 1 : First one has to make sure that all the required documents are in hand to apply online. If you would like to know about the documents that are required for this procedure, please visit the following link : Required Documents to Register as an Exporter
Step 2 : To register as an exporter online, the applicant has to visit the following link : Apply Online
Step 3 : In the given page, please hit “Apply for IEC” button which is highlighted in “GREEN” in the image below under “Register for your IEC” on the right part of the screen to get pop-up.

Step 4 : Please select the “LOGIN” section which is highlighted in “RED” in the image below.

Step 5 : Here enter user name, password as appropriate. Complete the captcha entry as applicable and then click “Login” button which is highlighted in “GREEN” in the image below.

Step 6 : If you are a new user, Please complete the prompted details as appropriate under “REGISTER” section which is highlighted in "RED" in the image given below.

Step 7 : Enter the required details. Click the check box for “By registering you are agreeing to our terms & conditions” option which is pointed out by a “RED” arrow in the image and then click “Send OTP” button at the bottom which is highlighted in “YELLOW” in the image below.

Step 8 : An OTP will be sent to your mobile number. Please enter the OTP at the prompted space and click the “Register” button which is highlighted in “RED” in the image below to complete the registration process.

Step 9 : An interface will display on screen that you have registered successfully, please follow the instruction given here and click on "x" symbol which is pointed with "GREEN" arrow in the image below to close it.

Step 10 : In the received email of "DGFT-Registration", you will find your "Username and Password" which are highlighted in "GREEN", please make a note these login credentials and click on "DGFT Portal" which is pointed in "RED" arrow in the image given below.

Step 11 : Please login by entering your Username, Password and Captcha as applicable and click on "Login" button which is highlighted in "GREEN" in the image given below.

Step 12 : In the given page, you will be prompted to change your password. Enter appropriate details and click on “Submit” button which is highlighted in “RED” in the image below.

Step 13 : Now, click on “OK” button which is pointed with “GREEN” arrow in the image below to confirm the changed password.

Step 14 : An interface will appear that you have changed the password successfully. Please click “OK” button which is highlighted in “RED” in the image below to login.

Step 15 : In the home, in the top right corner, click on "Login" hypertext which is highlighted in "YELLOW" in the image below.

Step 16 : On successful login, applicant will reach the dashboard. Here you will be given sample directions as shown in the image below on how you can access different options in this page. You can either click on "Skip" or select "Next" to follow the directions.

Step 17 : On your dashboard, select “Apply IEC” button which is highlighted in “GREEN” in the image below.

Step 18 : In the resulting page please select “Start Fresh Application” button which is highlighted in “GREEN” in the image below.

Step 19 : Applicant will reach the online applying page. Under the “General Information” enter the "Basic Details" referring to the image below. You need to attach relevant documents as per the prompts.

Step 20 : Next, you need to fill the "Firm Address Details" as shown in the image given below.

Step 21 : After that, enter the "Branch Details" as shown in the image below.

Step 22 : After filling the three sections, please click on "Save & Next" button which is highlighted in “GREEN” in the image below to progress to the Details of Proprietor/Partner/ Director”.

Step 23 : Likewise, enter the required information in “Details of Proprietor, “Bank Information”, “Other Details (preferred sectors of operations)” and “Declaration” by filling/selecting applicable details and uploading documents as appropriate. Under each section please use the “Save & Next” button.
Step 24 : Once you reach “Application Summary” section, please click “Preview IEC Application” button to get the preview of the online application.
Step 25 : If the online application is ok, come back to the applying page and click “Sign” button to process the payment.
Step 26 : Once the sign button is selected, applicant will get a popup for confirmation. Please click “Ok” button.
Step 27 : A “Sign Submission” popup prompts user to select signing method. Please click “Proceed” button under “Aadhaar e-Sign” / “Digital Signature Certificate” option as applicable for your type.
Step 28 : A popup screen will be displayed. Please select the check box for “By clicking the checkbox…” option and then click “Continue” option.
Step 29 : Please complete the e-Authentication for the type selected (“Aadhaar e-Sign” / “Digital Signature Certificate”). On successful authentication applicant will get “Document Signed Successfully” popup. Please click “OK” button to get “Proceed To Payment” button. Please select this button. A new page with applicant and payment details will be provided. Please click “Submit” button.
Step 30 : Payment summary will be provided. Please check the details and then click “Confirm” button to reach the payment gateway page.
Step 31 : Please select the payment method and other applicable details as per your payment type.
Step 32 : After all the details are completed, please click “Pay” button at the bottom.
Step 33 : Applicant will get transaction receipt for the completion of online application submission and payment. Please keep it safe for future reference.
Step 34 : This application will be processed further. Applicant receives update from department and the code will be issued as per deliverable mode.
