Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To obtain a Used (Second Hand) Vehicle (Car, Motorbike) Dealer license, the applicant has to approach their Respective RTO offices link
2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer, or the applicant can download the application form from the following link

   Note: Application should be made separately for individual classes of vehicles: motor cycle, invalid carriage, light motor vehicle, medium passenger motor vehicle, medium goods vehicle, heavy passenger motor vehicle, heavy goods vehicle, or any other motor vehicle of a specified description.

3. The applicant has to fill in all necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete forms are not accepted)
4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
6. The applicant has to submit the application form along with the required documents to the concerned officer.
7. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as per the authority’s request.
8. The authority will check all the submitted documents, and after verification, the officer will give the notification through call or SMS for site inspection.
9. On receipt of an application in respect of a class of vehicle, the registering authority may issue the certificate if satisfied.
10. The Processing time of this procedure takes up to 15 – 30 days.
