Apply In-Person:
- To obtain a Used (Second Hand) Vehicle (Car, Motorbike) Dealer license, the applicant has to approach their Respective RTO offices link
- An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer, or the applicant can download the application form from the following link
- Note: Application should be made separately for individual classes of vehicles: motor cycle, invalid carriage, light motor vehicle, medium passenger motor vehicle, medium goods vehicle, heavy passenger motor vehicle, heavy goods vehicle, or any other motor vehicle of a specified description.
- The applicant has to fill in all necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete forms are not accepted)
- Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
- The applicant has to submit the application form along with the required documents to the concerned officer.
- The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as per the authority’s request.
- The authority will check all the submitted documents, and after verification, the officer will give the notification through call or SMS for site inspection.
- On receipt of an application in respect of a class of vehicle, the registering authority may issue the certificate if satisfied.
- The Processing time of this procedure takes up to 15 – 30 days.

- PAN number of the trade owner.
- Any valid address proof (such as Voter ID etc.)
- GST Number of your business/firm.
- Documents of the workplace (documents of the place where the applicant runs their business or the Rent agreement if the applicant runs their business on rent)
- Photographs of the workplace.
- Aadhaar Card
- Tax Payer Identification number.
- Pollution and fire control equipment documents and Photographs
