Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Approach the nearest CSC centre and ask them for guidelines on how to obtain a license as a water tanker distributor.
2. Here is the link to locate the nearest CSC centre Link
3. Procure the application form from the office and fill in the relevant details.
4. Enter details, such as name, address, GST number and so on.
5. The applicant will have to attach documents as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. Make sure all the details in the form are correct.
7. The applicant only needs a single license for all your water tankers.
8. Make the fee payment. The applicant can find fee-related details under the “Fees” section of this page.
9. The applicant will receive an application number, save this number in case the applicant wants to track their application.
10. Once approved, the applicant can download the certificate or collect it from the CSC centre.

Eligibility

• The applicant’s tanker must meet all safety standards.
  
• The applicant must have a driver’s license.
  
• The applicant must be 18 years of age or above.
  
• The applicant should not have a criminal record.
  

Fees

• Central license: Rs 7500
• State license: Rs 2000
• Vehicle registration: Rs 100

Validity

The FSSAI license is valid for 5 years.
