Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Book Complaint about an Incorrect EB Meter, the applicant has to approach the Electricity Generation and Distributions Corporation Limited link
2. The applicant has to write a written complaint letter for EBI.
3. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
5. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
6. There is no fee for complaining EB meter.
7. After receiving the letter, the concerned authority will check the submitted letter and document. If all are in place, the letter will be accepted.
8. The authority will visit the site for checking the EB meter.
9. This entire process can be completed within a week or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

1. To Book Complaint about an Incorrect EB Meter, the applicant has to use the following link
2. The applicant has to Click on “Register Complaints”.
3. If the applicant is a new user, the applicant has to click the “Sign-up”
4. To register, the applicant has to enter the details and click the “Submit” button.
5. The applicant has to log in by using a user ID and password.
6. Click on the complaint details and followed by selecting the “Register complaint” option.
7. Enter all the required information and Click on the “Submit” button.
8. Upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
9. After completing click the “Submit” button.
10. There is no fee for complaining EB meter.
11. The officer will check the submitted complaint request.
12. The authority will visit the site for checking the EB meter.
13. This entire process can be completed within a week or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

1. To Book Complaint about an Incorrect EB Meter, the applicant has to use the following link
2. The applicant has to Click on “Register Complaints”.
3. Click the “Customer” followed by clicking the “Register complaint”.
4. Enter the name, contact number and request type as “Meter Related” and Click on “SUBMIT”
5. The responsible officer will assign the task to the concerned department/officials and see to it that the problem is attended to immediately.
6. Upon successful registration, a unique registration number will be generated and provided to the customer, which is to be retained for status enquiry.
7. There is no fee for complaining EB meter.
8. This entire process can be completed within a week or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Need for the Document

• If the meter is faulty/damaged or not functioning, then the consumer should immediately report to the concerned electricity billing /sub-division office as applicable and get it repaired/replaced/get a new meter. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to make sure the safety of meters.
