Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. The applicant will need a state permit for their vehicle as well as a commercial vehicle license.
2. Visit the nearest RTO, the applicant can find their nearest RTO by clicking on the link under the “Office Location and Contacts” section of this page.
3. Use the following link to the official website of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands RTO Website
4. The applicant will need to call the relevant authorities.
5. Procure the relevant application form from the RTO and fill the form.
6. The applicant will have to submit an application form and attach photocopies of the required documents; a list of documents can be found under the “Required Documents” section of this page
7. The applicant will have to pay fees, find fee-related information under the “Fees” section of this page.
8. The applicant’s lorry will be inspected to make sure it meets all safety standards.
9. Once the application has been approved, the applicant can collect the certificate from the RTO.
10. The applicant shall receive their license within 20 to 30 days from the submission of the application.

• Insurance of the vehicle.
• Proof of payment of road tax.
• Fee for National Permit.
• Payment of green tax wherever applicable
