ProcedureEdit

  • Under the “Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana - PMKSY (Per Drop More Crop)” scheme, the government offers subsidy for implementing lift irrigation through “District Irrigation Plan (DIP)”


Apply In-Person:

  1. The respective state horticultural department (or the nodal department as per the state) publicize the scheme at the block and village levels. Any eligible beneficiary shall contact the respective office of the Horticulture Officer of the concerned district or the authority as per the notification.

  3. Go to the respective office and meet the designated authority. The applicant shall get the advice from the authority to apply for this subsidy.
  4. The applicant shall visit the department approved manufacturer or dealer to finalize the system requirement and get the quote.
  5. The department also organizes at least one District Level seminar / workshop with the participation of the manufacturer or distributor.
  6. The applicant shall collect the application form from the concerned office or at the seminar/workshop or write on a plain A4 sheet as advised.
  7. Please complete the application form with the mandatory details. Attach the required documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page and submit it to the designated receiving authority in person. Please submit the application set in triplicate.
  8. On receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the application details and documents.
  9. If all are in place, the application will be accepted and an acknowledgement slip with a serial number will be issued. Please keep it safe for future reference.
  10. ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s Aadhaar linked mobile number. Please keep track of the notification.
  11. This application will be processed further. The department will assess the application to decide on the requirement.
  12. Once the application is considered for grant of subsidy, it will be forwarded to the respective team for budget approval and sanction.
  13. Based on the above process, a work order will be issued to the company’s/Manufacturer’s local office indicated by the beneficiary.
  14. The beneficiary shale deposit their share with the manufacturer/their representative or the state nodal agency as appropriate.
  15. Once the above steps are completed, the installation can be completed by the registered manufacturer.
  16. On successful installation, a physical verification of installation of the system will be carried out by the implementing Agency. Once the verification is completed, a certificate from the beneficiary will be obtained by the implementing agency.
  17. The implementing agency will forward the case with recommendation to the sanctioning authority for the release of subsidy.
  18. The sanctioning authority will evaluate the case and release the subsidy based on the category of the applicant.
  19. The status, viz. approval, will be conveyed to the applicant (and also to the service provider/manufacturer) through a “SMS” or as per applicable norms.
  20. The subsidy amount will be transferred to the beneficiary’s bank account as mentioned on the application.
  21. The whole process shall be completed within the financial year or as per the advised time period.

NOTE:
  • The department of horticulture announces plans for disbursement of such subsidies through electronic and printing media. It is advised to regularly follow the local newspaper for such announcements.

EligibilityEdit

  • Applicant should be a citizen of India.
  • Those who are 18 years and above are eligible to apply.
  • The beneficiary can claim this subsidy for a maximum of five hectares of land to install the micro irrigation system.
  • Those who have already availed subsidy benefits can not avail the assistance for the next seven years.
  • A Cooperative/group farming, members of cooperative societies, self-help groups, incorporated companies, panchayathraj institutions, NGO’s, Trusts, growers’ associations will be entitled to avail financial assistance through their respective bodies.
  • Beneficiaries/Institutions that have opted for contract farming or taken land on lease are also eligible for obtaining financial assistance under the scheme with a seven years lease agreement.
  • The land should be free from encumbrances, litigation and attachments.



FeesEdit

  • The small and marginal farmers are entitled for 55% of assistance and other category are entitled for 45% assistance.
  • The assistance will be provided by both the Central Government and State Government in the ratio of 60:40 for all states except the North Eastern and Himalayan states.
  • For the North Eastern and Himalayan states, the ratio of sharing is 90:10.
  • For the Union Territories, funding pattern is 100% grant by the Central Government.

  • The sanctioned assistance is valid against the installation and maintenance of the system through the vendors registered with the government for the notified period.
  • The applicants are advised to follow the timeline (if any) provided by the authorities to initiate the purchase of the system or to make the initial payment.

  • The subsidy is calculated at 25% higher amounts for the North Eastern and Himalayan states and 15% higher for other states as per government norms.
  • Do not submit fake documents as a proof to get this sanction.
  • Incomplete application will be rejected.
