Procedure

The Unemployment Certificate is required by the unemployed youth for self-employment, availing bank loans, etc.
Apply In-Person:

1. Please go to the respective thaasildhaar office.
2. Link for contact: link Select “Districts” menu to choose districts from the drop down list to reach respective portal. In the given portal page, please select “ABOUT DISTRICT > Who’s Who” OR “ABOUT DISTRICT > ADMINISTRATIVE SETUP > Wards and Panchayats” OR “DIRECTORY > PUBLICUTILITIES > Municipalities” as appropriate for the contact details.
3. Obtain the application form from the respective counter or write in a plain paper.
4. Please submit the completed application form along with required documents to the staff at the receiving desk.
5. The submitted application form and documents will be verified by the authorities.
6. If all are OK, authority will process the application.
7. Applicant will get the certificate after internal processing as per notified tome as per applicable norms.

Apply Online:

1. To apply online for an Unemployment Certificate in Andaman & Nicobar Islands, the applicant shall visit the following link: Link.
2. Enter the username and password to log in if you are already a user. Otherwise, click on the "Register" button for a new account and provide email id and phone number.
3. An OTP will be sent to the registered phone number, fill in the code in the required field to proceed further.
4. A confirmation email will also be sent to the registered email id.
5. The applicant is required to verify the email id by clicking on the link provided in the email.
6. After verification, the applicant has to fill up all the required details in the fields provided and click on the "ok" button to submit.
7. On successful signing up, locate an appropriate option for the application.
8. Follow the on-screen instructions in the "Online services" option and provide the necessary details, required for an unemployment certificate, in the applicable fields to complete the registration.
9. Also, upload the "Required Documents" and make the payment required for processing the application (if any).
10. Upon successful completion of all the steps, the application will be approved and an unemployment certificate will be issued by the registering authority.
11. Post-registration processes and obtaining of the certificate will be communicated through the registered phone number and email id of the applicant.

• Original Employment Exchange Registration Card (To be shown) and attested copy of the same to be submitted at the time of applying for Unemployment Certificate.
• 2 copies of Self attested recent Passport size photographs.
• Aadhaar card.
• Mobile number.
• Email Id (if available).
• Any other document to claim benefits offered by respective state government as advised by authorities.

Eligibility

• To get Unemployment Certificate from Employment Exchanges of the respective state, the candidate must have registered his/her name in the concerned Employment Exchange.
• The Registration of the candidate must be valid.
• Candidate registered in Employment Exchange and remain unemployed for 5 years or the number of years as fixed by government

This certificate will be valid till the unemployment certificate holder gets employed and shall surrender the said issued certificate to the issuing authority

Instructions

The candidate can register his/her name in the concerned District Employment Exchange within whose jurisdiction his/ her place of residence is situated.

Need for the Document

• Any citizen of India is eligible for Registration at an Employment Exchange for assistance in securing Employment/job. There is no necessity to verify the employment /under employment / unemployment status of the applicant.
• The Departments of Employment in various States of India allow unemployed educated youth residing in the respective States to pre-register for impending job vacancies occurring in different sectors of that State.
• This certificate will be required by unemployed youths holding valid employment registration card for self-employment and to avail bank loan to start their business.
