Apply in Person:

  1. To apply for Particular Contract Carriage Permit in Andaman and Nicobar the applicant has to approach the Motor Vehicle Section under the Directorate of Transport.
  2. Please follow our “Office Locations & Contacts” section of this page to get details of the RTO offices. Follow the Link for Regional Transport Offices information: link
  3. Application in Plain Paper to Secretary (STA)
  4. Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed down the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. Present the completed application forms in one of the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.
  6. Important verifications for the permit includes Vehicle condition, seating arrangements etc., will be carried by authorities.
  7. After checking the vehicle for its correctness and other appropriate requirements the application will be processed.

Apply Online:

  1. To apply for particular contract carriage permit, the applicant has to visit the official portal of the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways: Link to Portal
  2. In the homepage, please scroll down to “Informational Services” and click on the “more” button in the “Citizen Guide” tab.
  3. The applicant will be taken to the “Manual” page where all the available services will be listed.
  4. Please click on the name of the required service and click on “Step by Step procedure” from the drop down menu.
  5. The applicant will be taken to a new PDF page where the process for applying will be explained clearly.
  6. Please follow the steps to complete the application.

Required DocumentsEdit


  1. Written application form in A4 plain paper
  2. PSV License of the driver (Attested Copy)
  3. R C book with Commercial fitness
  4. Original Commercial Insurance
  5. Photo of the vehicle two (Front and Back Side)
  6. Local Certificate/ I Card of the applicant
  7. Parking Area Certificate
  8. Patta and Map of the Land where vehicle is parked (Attested copy)
  9. NOC affidavit from the tenant if parking in others land
  10. If the owner is firm then attested copy of firm registration certificate.
  11. Self affidavit by the applicant
  12. No objection certificate from the financier if the vehicle concerned is covered by HPA / Lease / Hypothecation.
  13. Payment of green tax wherever applicable.
  14. The resolution of the RTA/STA or the order of the Court.
  15. Aadhaar Card
  16. Registration Certificate of the vehicle.
  17. Fitness Certificate of the vehicle.
  18. Proof of payment of tax for the current quarter.
  19. Insurance Certificate.
  20. Passport size photo-2
  21. Pollution under control certificate
  22. PROOF OF ADDRESS ( One of the following to be produced)
    • Ration Card / Aadhaar Card / Electoral Roll / LIC Policy
  23. Age Proof (any one of the following)
    • School Certificate / Birth Certificate

Need for the DocumentEdit


  • Particular Contract Carriage Permit is the most common type of permit. The permit grants the holder the right to operate under a contract with his client for a specific destination. He cannot pick passengers other than those mentioned in the permit.

Information which might helpEdit


  • This permit does not entitle the holder to use the vehicle herein described as a stage carriage or as a goods carriage.
  • FC (for clearance) is a process meant for reviewing the condition of the vehicle by the RTO authorities
