Procedure

Apply In Person

1. To Obtain a Certificate of Good Health, the applicant has to approach the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) Office link
2. The applicant needs to schedule a medical exam with a doctor who is authorized by the Canadian government to perform immigration medical exams.
3. At the medical exam, the authorized doctor will perform a physical exam, take a medical history, and conduct any necessary tests or screenings.
4. After the exam, the authorized doctor will submit his/her medical exam results to IRCC.
5. The applicant needs to wait for IRCC to review the results and issue a Certificate of Good Health.
6. If IRCC requires additional information or documentation, the applicant needs to provide it promptly to avoid delays in the processing of the Certificate of Good Health.
7. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
8. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
9. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
10. Once the medical exam results are approved, the applicant will receive a Certificate of Good Health from IRCC.
11. There is no fee for Obtaining a Certificate of Good Health.
12. This entire process can be completed within 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
