Procedure

Apply by Phone:

1. To get Funding from Celebrate Canada, the applicant can approach the Department of Canadian Heritage. Here is the contact link: Link
2. The applicant will need to apply for funding by filling out the application form. Click on the following link to the login page: Link
3. If the application does not have an account, follow these steps:
   • To log in using a sign-in partner, click on the “Sign-in partner” option.
   • Select the company the applicant is affiliated with.
   • Enter the username and password provided by the applicant’s company.
   • The applicant will be able to log in to their account.
   • If the applicant wants to sign in using GCkey, click on the “GCkey” option.
   • The applicant will be directed to a login page and click on the “Sign up” option.
   • The applicant will need to accept the terms and conditions.
   • Enter username and password and click on “Next”.
   • The applicant will need to enter recovery questions and answers and click on “Next”.
   • Once the applicant has entered all the details they can click on “Submit” to create an account.
4. Once logged in, the applicant will need to apply for the “Apply for funding” option.
5. The applicant will need to upload digital copies of all required documents, find a list of documents in the application form.
6. Submit the application form by clicking on the “Submit” icon.
7. The applicant does not need to pay fees.
8. Once submitted, the application form will be forwarded to the relevant authorities.
9. The applicant shall receive all communications and their results by email. It will take two weeks to process the application.

• The organisation must be Canadian and not-for-profit, corporation, trust, cooperative, etc.
• Or the organization must be an indigenous representative organisation.

Fees

• The applicant does not need to pay fees.

Validity

• The program is valid for one year.

• Celebrate Canada provides funding for community-based activities for celebrating and promoting National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21, Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day on June 24, Canadian Multiculturalism Day on June 27 and Canada Day on July 1.
