- must be at least 16 years of age
- have held a valid driving permit for a minimum of 6 months

- Driving test fee: $15.00
- Driver / Motorcycle (D, M1, M2): $20.00
ValidityEdit
- A driver license issued to an applicant under the age of 21 will expire 90 days after the applicant's 21st birthday.
- All other Alaska driver license's expire on the applicants birthday and are valid for approximately five years.
