- To Request Audio Recording Order (Court), the applicant has to approach the United States Court Offices link
- NOTE: Search by address, city, state or ZIP Code and click the “Location” button.
- The applicant has to download the application form from the following link
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
- Make sure that the applicant has to attach all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
- Submit all the documents with the completed form to the court mailing address.
- The mailing address is mentioned in the “Office Locations & Contacts” section of this page.
- The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- The court will notify the applicant when the audio recordings are completed.
- Once the process gets completed, the respective authority will contact the applicant to get the recording order.
- The applicant has to visit the court office for further process.
- The entire process is complete within 3 weeks or it will intimate by the respective officer.
- NOTE: For each of recording, the applicant has to submit separate forms.

- Any parties who intends to Request Audio Recording Order is eligible to make this application.
FeesEdit
- The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
- For orders of 20or more audio recordings, the court will notify you of the amount of the required deposit fee which may be mailed or delivered to the court. Upon receipt of the deposit, the court will process the order.
- NOTE: If the deposit fee was insufficient to cover all charges, the court will notify the applicant for the balance due which must be paid prior to receiving the completed order.

- The audio recordings of all oral arguments heard by the Supreme Court of the United States are posted on the website on the same day an argument is heard by the Court. Any person who is interested on their audio records can make the request to court offices.

- The Court began audio recording oral arguments in 1955. The recordings are maintained at The National Archives and Records Administration. Prior to the 2010 Term, the recordings from one Term of Court were not available until the beginning of the next Term. The Archives will continue to serve as the official repository for the Court’s audio recordings.
