Apply In-Person:
- To submit Employment Insurance Report in person, the applicant has to visit the nearest Service Canada office.

- Visit the Service Canada office and approach the relevant official who is in charge of receiving Employment Insurance Reports.
- The official in-charge will direct the applicant to complete the application process as required or he/she will complete the application on the applicant’s behalf.
- The applicant should provide all the information listed in the “Required Information” section of this page and also the information required by the official.
- With the help of the information provided by the applicant, the Employment Insurance Report will be completed and submitted.
- After submitting, it will be forwarded to the relevant departments for verification and processing.
- Upon successful completion of these processes, the applicant’s eligibility to continue receiving the EI benefits will be determined.
Apply Online
- To submit Employment Insurance Report online, the applicant has to visit the following Internet Reporting Service link apply online
- Visit the login page and provide the Social Insurance Number, 4-digit access code and Residential province, then click “Continue” button.
- Corresponding report format with required fields will be opened in which the applicant has to enter the details of the report.
- In the report format, the applicant has to indicate dates and hours worked and earnings before deductions.
- Also, he/she has to provide the contact information of any employers, enter hours spent at school or in a training course and any training allowance received.
- Then, he/she should indicate the availability for work and report other money of the applicant.
- Before completing the report, the applicant shall receive a message asking him/her to call the office, in case if the officials require more information from the applicant.
- Once completed the report, the applicant has to submit it by clicking the applicable button.
- After submitting, it will be forwarded to the relevant departments for verification and processing.
- Upon successful completion of these processes, the applicant’s eligibility to continue receiving the EI benefits will be determined.
Apply through mail
- To submit Employment Insurance Report through mail, the applicant has to send the paper report to the Service Canada’s mailing address.

- The applicant has to first compile the Employment Insurance Report for the benefits he/she is receiving.
- In the report format, the applicant has to indicate dates and hours worked and earnings before deductions.
- Also, he/she has to provide the contact information of any employers, enter hours spent at school or in a training course and any training allowance received.
- Then, he/she should indicate the availability for work and report other money of the applicant.
- Once completed the report, the applicant has to submit it by choosing a suitable mail service of his/her convenience.
- After submitting, it will be forwarded to the relevant departments for verification and processing.
- Upon successful completion of these processes, the applicant’s eligibility to continue receiving the EI benefits will be determined.
Apply through telephone
- To submit Employment Insurance Report through telephone, the applicant has to call the following Telephone Reporting Service: 1-800-531-7555
- Call the Telephone Reporting Service and inform the official in-charge about the requirement to submit Employment Insurance Report.
- The official on the other side will ask the applicant’s information and the details required to complete the EI Report.
- Do as instructed by the officials and provide all the information demanded by him/her. Refer “Required Information” section of this page.
- If the official needs more information to process the report, the official will transfer the call to an agent or the applicant will receive a message to call back during business hours.
- Complete the process by following the instructions of the official and submit the EI report.
- After submitting, it will be forwarded to the relevant departments for verification and processing.
- Upon successful completion of these processes, the applicant’s eligibility to continue receiving the EI benefits will be determined.

- The applicants are advised to use the Internet Reporting Service, which is simple, fast, convenient and secure if they have a proper Internet access.
- Make sure the Internet Reporting Service website hasn’t been added to the browser’s compatibility view list.
- Click on the Tools menu and then Compatibility View settings. Remove the website if it appears on the list.
- The user can modify their report before submitting it when using the Internet Reporting Service, or Telephone Reporting Service.
- If there is a mistake on a submitted report, call the Service Canada as soon as possible. If not, the applicants have the risk of being overpaid and having to repay benefits.
