Apply Online (Uncertified Copy)

  1. To obtain a certificate of incorporation, the applicant will need to submit a request online to Corporations Canada. Here is the contact Link
  2. Click on the following link to order uncertified copies of corporate documents Link
  3. The applicant will need to enter their corporation number and click on “Search”.
  4. Select the applicant’s corporation and click on “Continue”.
  5. The applicant will be directed to another page where they will need to select the documents they want uncertified copies of and click on “Next”.
  6. The applicant will need to enter their contact information, and additional information and click on “Next”.
  7. Once all the information has been entered, the applicant will need to click on “Finish” to submit their application to obtain uncertified copies of a certificate of incorporation.
  8. The applicant can find fee-related information under the “Fees” section of this page.
  9. Once the application form has been reviewed and accepted, the applicant will receive an email instructing the applicant on how to download the copies of their certificate.
  10. The applicant shall receive the mail to download the certificate on the same day.


Apply By Mail (Certified and Uncertified copies)

  1. To obtain a certificate of incorporation, the applicant will need to submit a request online to Corporations Canada. Here is the contact Link
  2. The applicant will need to place a request for a “Certificate of Incorporation” using the online contact form.
  3. The applicant will need to provide all the relevant information about their company, such as the corporation number and so on and specify that they want a certified or uncertified copy of a certificate of incorporation.
  4. Once all the relevant information has been gathered, the applicant will need to mail it to the address mentioned under the “Office Locations and Contacts” section of this page.
  5. The applicant will need to pay fees. Find further information under the “Fees” section of this page.
  6. Once the fee and the request for documents have been submitted, the applicant will need to wait 10 days to get a reply by email on how to download the document.

EligibilityEdit

  • Any organization can order a certificate of incorporation.



FeesEdit

  • The applicant does not need to pay to obtain uncertified copies of a certificate of incorporation.
  • If the applicant is applying by mail or email, they will need to pay a fee of 5$ per document.
  • The applicant will need to pay a fee of 40$ to obtain a certified copy of a certificate of incorporation.

  • The difference between certified and uncertified documents is the certified documents come with a letter saying that a document is the exact copy of the one Corporations Canada has in their records.
