Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To get Funding from Commemorate Canada, the applicant can approach the Department of Canadian Heritage. Here is the contact Link
2. The applicant will need to contact Celebration Canada to obtain an application package.
3. Fill out the application form with all the relevant details.
4. The applicant will need to attach copies of the documents as mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Submit the application form to the address mentioned under the “Office Locations and Contacts” section of this page.
6. Once submitted, the application form will be forwarded to the relevant authorities.
7. The applicant does not need to pay fees.
8. The applicant shall receive all communications and their results by email. It will take two weeks to process the application.

• The Delegation of Signing Authority form completed or acceptable alternate documentation
• Values and Ethics Code for the Public Service of Canada and Lobbyists Registration Act form
• Event Liability Waiver

• A copy of the letters patent or incorporating document for newly incorporated applicants

Eligibility

• The organisation must be Canadian and not-for-profit, corporation, trust, cooperative, etc.
• Or the organization must be an indigenous representative organisation.
• The organization can be a Canadian educational institution.

• The applicant does not need to pay fees.

Validity

• The program is valid for one year.
