ProcedureEdit

Apply In-Person:

  1. To file Corporation Income Tax in person, the applicant has to visit the office of Canada Revenue Agency that is nearest to their location.
  2. Address and contact details can be found in the following Contact link
  3. Visit the office as applicable and obtain the Form T2-Corporation Income Tax return from the relevant department.
  4. Application form download links are also available below:
  5. Complete the application form with all the required details and information in the respective fields.
  6. After that, the applicant should attach the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page, with the completed form.
  7. Then, submit the application form and required documents to the relevant official at the office. The official will inform the amount of fees to be paid (if any) for the process.
  8. On receiving the completed form and the required information, the respective official will assess the submitted information.
  9. The Canada Revenue Agency will complete the assessment as well as file within a time period of six weeks, probably.


Apply online:

  1. To file Corporation Income Tax online, the applicant has to visit the following Apply online
  2. Visit the link, read the content given, scroll down to the bottom and click “I agree with the Terms and Conditions – Proceed” button.
  3. Click “Connect to the transmission site” button in the next page. Online return form with applicable fields opens on the next page.
  4. Complete the form by entering the required details in the respective fields. Upload the tax return document by clicking the “Choose File” button.
  5. Once completed, click “I agree. File my return” button. Soon after, the completed form and attached file will be uploaded to the CRA website for further assessment.
  6. The application process is free, so, a confirmation number will be displayed on the screen when the file has been uploaded.
  7. The applicant has to note it down for their records and future purposes. Then, necessary assessment processes will take place.
  8. The Canada Revenue Agency will complete the assessment as well as file within a time period of six weeks, probably.


Apply through mail:

  1. To file Corporation Income Tax through mail, the applicant has to send an application to the office of Canada Revenue Agency that is nearest to their location.

  3. First download the Form T2-Corporation Income Tax return, from the links given below:
  4. Complete the application form with all the required details and information in the respective fields.

  • The applicants should complete the application form with all the mandatory details provided with absolute legibility.
  • The applicants are advised to attach all the required documents without any insufficiency, to avoid rejections and delays in processing.
  • The applicant can also obtain the return form through telephone:
    • From anywhere in Canada and the United States, call 1-800-959-5525 from Monday to Friday 9 am to 6 pm (local time), Saturday and Sunday closed.
    • From outside Canada and the United States, call 613-940-8497. CRA only accepts collect calls made through telephone operators. After the call is accepted by an automated response, the applicant may hear a beep and notice a normal connection delay.
    • For TTY (Teletypewriter) service, call 1-800-665-0354 (Canada only).
