Apply Online

  1. To Replace a Certificate of Naturalization, the applicant has to use the following link
  2. The applicant has to click the “File online”.
  3. If the applicant is a new user, click the “Create account” button.
  4. Enter the details and click the “Sign up”.
  5. Now the applicant has to enter the email id, and password and click the “Sign In” button.
  6. The applicant has to select the type of application.
  7. Enter all the necessary details in the application form.
  8. Make sure that the applicant has to upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  9. The fee for this procedure is mentioned in the “Fees” section of this page.
  10. After completion of all the steps click the “Submit” button.
  11. USCIS may require that you appear for an interview or provide fingerprints, photographs, and/or signatures at any time to verify the identity and other information.
  12. The applicant gets the appointment slot date and time from the officer through call or mail.
  13. The applicant has to visit for the biometric purpose.
  14. Once the verification process gets completed, the applicant will get the notification through mail.
  15. Now the applicant can download the certificate through login to the account.
  16. The processing time for this procedure is up to 3 – 4 weeks.

  2. The applicant has to download the application form from the following link
  3. The applicant has to enter all the details in the application form.
  4. Make sure that the applicant has to attach all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
  6. Submit all the necessary documents along with the completed form to the nearest office.

EligibilityEdit

The applicant may apply for a replacement if:

  • The issued a Certificate of Naturalization, which was lost, stolen, destroyed. or mutilated
  • The issued a Certificate of Naturalization, which is incorrect due to typographical/clerical error by USCIS
  • The applicant’s name was changed by marriage or by court order after the document was issued and the applicant seek a document in their new name
  • If the applicant received their Certificate of Naturalization and afterwards the applicant obtained a court order or a state-issued document that changes their date of birth and the applicant seek a certificate with the new date of birth.
  • The applicant was issued a Certificate of Naturalization and the applicant’s change of gender is legally recognized through a court order, a government-issued document, or a medical certification.
  • If the applicant is a naturalized citizen seeking a special certificate of naturalization for the purpose of a foreign country recognizing the applicant as a citizen of the United States.
