Andaman and Nicobar - How to Pay Electricity Bill

Apply In-Person:

To pay electricity bills in Andaman & Nicobar Islands, the applicant has to visit the department of electricity under Andaman and Nicobar Administration. Find contacts in the links provided: Link and Link
Go to the following payment counter and pay the requisite bill at the concerned counter by showing the unpaid bill.
The counter authority will issue a receipt against the payment
The applicant shall procure the paid bill receipt.

Apply Through mobile app:

To pay electricity bills in Andaman & Nicobar Islands through mobile app, the applicant has to download the app "Urja Mitra" from the following link: Link
After installing it, the applicant shall register her/his electricity account by providing necessary details such as consumer electricity account number, state and so on and click "Submit" to proceed further.
Once the account registration is approved, the applicant shall find an appropriate option for electricity bill payment.
On successful completion, the information will be displayed in the account details.

Apply Through Centres:

To pay electricity bills through centres in Andaman & Nicobar Islands, the applicant shall visit any nearby CSC centres and get an application form. Find a list of CSC in Andaman and Nicobar in the link provided: Link
The applicant is required to fill in all the details and submit the same to the regional CSC/Tehsil centre along with the bill and amount.
Upon successful completion, the applicant will receive an acknowledgement slip which must be kept safe for the future.

Apply through Google pay:

To pay the electricity bill through other means such as Google pay, the applicant shall download the following app from the link provided: Link
Now tap "New" and type in the name of the biller (Electricity department of Andaman & Nicobar Islands).
From the search result, tap on the name of the biller and click on the "Pay Bill" button.
Now follow the instructions on the screen and pay the bill.
The applicant will be able to view the bill to confirm that the payment is successful.

Apply through BBPS (Bharath Bill Payment System)

Use the following link to "pay at your area BBPS outlet" as per pin code: BBPS outlet link
1. Please select “find nearest Bharat BillPay outlet” option provided at the bottom of the page.
2. Enter your pin code at the box provided and hit “Go” to reach the next page with contact details. Please follow the page to get the details of payment outlet and pay their directly
Use the following link to "pay as per your Bank/Non-Bank" for Quick Bill Payment: BBPS Quick bill payment option
1. Please select the Respective electricity department and follow the screen prompt and proceed further to make the payment

The individual should be a resident of the state.
Consumers are eligible to pay the electricity bill.
Every applicant has to have a meter reading to calculate consumption

FeesEdit

Electricity bills are generated with the slab rates applicable for the units consumed as per the state regulations
As a consumer, it is mandatory to pay prescribed amount as advised by respective board. (even the electricity is not consumed, each states has different default charges levied to its active consumers and the same has to be paid)

ValidityEdit

The electricity bill generated for the period has to be paid before the due date.
There will be a penalty for late payment. Authorities has the power to suspend the connection
This payment is valid for the consumed electricity units
