Procedure



Download through Jharsewa

  1. Use the following link : CRS System
  2. If you are already registered please login else, register yourself and login.
  3. After logging in, look for "Death Certificate" or related options and make the selection appropriately.
  4. Please enter all the necessary details as requested anf follow the prompts to print the certificate.



Apply Online through Central Government CRS portal

  1. Those who registered their birth shall download or View the Death Certificate using the following Link
  2. The applicant has to click the “Login” button on the right side of the page and select “General Public” to reach the “General Public Login” page.
  3. Here, click on the “SIGN UP” button
  4. The applicant will reach the “General Public Sign Up” page. Please follow the prompts and hit the “NEXT” button.
  5. In the resulting screen, please complete the prompts and click on the “NEXT” button. 
  6. In the same manner please complete the other page prompts as applicable and hit the “NEXT” button to complete the registration process.
  7. Once registered, In the home page, the applicant has to click the “Login” button on the right side of the page and select “General Public” to reach the “General Public Login” page.
  8. Please enter the prompted details as appropriate and then enter the captcha as applicable and click on the “LOGIN” button.
  9. The applicant will receive an OTP in their registered mobile number. Please provide the OTP at the prompted space as applicable and click on the “LOGIN” button.
  10. The applicant will reach the dashboard page.
  11. Please click the “Death” menu option and choose “Search Death Register” option.
  12. A “Search” page will be displayed, Please complete the prompts with appropriate details and click on the “Search" button.
  13. A new page with the list of birth certificates will be displayed, Please click on the “View” button at the end against the correct record to view and download.



Download for Ramgarh

  1. Use the following link : Link
  2. Please follow the instrution in the above link to download the certificate. Please click on the "Apply" link below the instruction to proceed with the application process.



Download using Application Acknowledgement Number

  1. To download or view the death certificate, the applicant has to click on the following link
  2. Now click on the "Download Certificate" option on the right side of the screen.
  3. Now on this page, please enter all the mandatory details and click on the "Submit" button.
  4. If the details are valid, the death certificate will be displayed on the screen.
  5. You have to click on the appropriate button to download the certificate.
  6. No necessary documents to upload for this certificate.
  7. The fee for Downloading or Viewing the death Certificate is free of cost.
  8. The processing time for this download certificate is complete within a minute.



Apply through CSC

  1. To Download or View Death Certificate, the applicant has to approach the nearest CSC link
    NOTE: To check the contact details of CSC centre, please select the District and Block.
  2. The applicant has to visit the nearest centre.
  3. The applicant has to inform all the details to the respective officer.
  4. The officer will enter the details in the portal with the given details.
  5. The applicant will get the downloaded certificate from the officer.
  6. To Download or View the Death Certificate, the fee is free of cost.
  7. The processing time for this procedure is within a minute.

Need for the Document

  • A death certificate is either a legal document issued by a medical practitioner which states when a person died, or a document issued by a government civil registration office, that declares the date, location and cause of a person's death, as entered in an official register of deaths.

  • Death certificate helps in closing bank accounts, claiming insurance, selling property of the deceased or any work related to banks. It is also required for property transfer or property tax payment. If the deceased is the owner of a property, then succession certificate will be required in the absence of a 'Will'.
