Procedure

Apply Online

1. To Apply for Family Identity Card, the applicant has to use the following link link
2. In the given page, please enter your Aadhaar number at the prompt against “Enter Document No.:”.
3. Complete the captcha as applicable. Click on the check box for declaration and hit “Continue” button to get another page.
4. Please follow the page prompt as applicable and then complete the registration.
5. Once registered, please use the user ID and password just created at the login page as appropriate and complete the remaining prompts as applicable and hit the “Login” button to login.
6. The applicant will reach the “Welcome to e-District Delhi Portal”.
7. Please select the “Apply Online” menu and choose “Apply for Services” option.
8. Fom the list of service provided under “Department of Revenue”, please click on the “Apply” button against “Issuance of AAY/Priority Household Card”.
9. In the resulting page, please complete the prompts as apropriate and click the “Continue” button.
10. The applicants shall complete the online form prompts that includes, Members of the family, Address, Bank details and other vital details.
11. Once the prompts are completed, kindly click on the “”Continue to Next” button.
12. The applicant shall complete upload session now and hit the “Upload” button at the bottom.
13. Please follow the resulting page prompts and upload the required applicable documents as prompted else please click on “No Continue with existing document” button.
14. A pop-up will be provided, please click on the ‘Ok” button.
15. In the given social category session, please select applicable option and upload the documents as acceptable and process the resulting page to upload the documents.
16. Once completed, please click on the “Continue to Next” button.
17. The applicant shall upload the prompted photo as applicable and click on the “Upload” button.
18. Once the prompts are entered and upload is done, please click on the “Continue to final Submit” button.
19. Please go through the details as we are going to make final submission. If all are fine to go, then click on the “Final Submit” button.
20. A warning pop-up will be provided. Please make sure to click the “Yes Submit” button as we can’t make any further changes after this point.
21. An OTP will be sent to the mobile number provided wile applying. Please provide the number at the following page as applicable and follow the page requirements to get a acknowledgement for the submission of your application form.
22. Please save the acknowledgement for future reference.
23. This submitted application will be processed by the department, after ground level verification and physical inspection by the Supply Officer applicant gets notification.
24. If all the process are successful, applicant will get the ration card as per delivery mode (delivered through postal or on hand).

Apply In-Person

1. The eldest female will be treated as head of household and considered as applicant. Applicant shall apply to the concerned circle office or Gender resource centre (GRC )
2. Link for contact: GRC centre link AND Circle officers Link AND FPS.
3. Go to the respective FSO and obtain the application form to apply for a ration card.

5. Fill all the necessary information in the application as required and sign at appropriate places.
6. Do not fill any wrong information, otherwise the officer of the department will reject your application form.
7. Attach all required documents, and submit the application along with document to the authority.
8. On accepting your application, authority or clerk will check the details and issue a receipt as acknowledgement.
9. Please keep it safe for future reference,
10. This submitted application will be processed by the department, After ground level verification and physical inspection by the Supply Officer applicant gets notification.
11. If all the process are successful, applicant will get the ration card as per delivery mode (delivered through postal or on hand)

Required Documents

• Respective application form
• Address Proof (attested copy of PAN Card /Driving License / Bank Passbook / Post Office Passbook /Municipal Holding receipt / Electricity Bill / Telephone Bill).
• A copy of age certificate / school leaving certificate of the head of the family.
• A copy of income proof of the family - that income of the family is below from the prescribed limit (in order to apply for value based card).
• A copy of identity proof like voter ID card, driving license, Aadhaar card.
• Passport size photograph of the applicant.
• Self Declaration and Certificate From Pradhan/Ward Councillor.
• Mobile number or Email addresses(if available) may be filled up in the format to enable this department to send an automated message to the applicant on the status of the application.
• A self-addressed and stamped postal cover or postcard to enable the office to communicate the results to the applicant.
• Copy of Tax Pay / Land Revenue Pay receipt
• Tenancy agreement if the applicant is a tenant.
• Detailed particulars of family members
• Copies of birth certificates of minor members(Below 10 years in age)
• Surrender certificate of Ration Card/Family Identity holding or non-availability certificate from the FCS&CA authority where the applicant was previously resided (applying in new place)
• Aadhaar Card

Note: Get the respective documents attested by gazette officer, MLA or MP or the municipal councillor as applicable.

Eligibility

• The applicant and his/her family must be Indian citizens and should be resident of the state.
• The applicant or his family members must not possess any family card in any State in India (If they had one, it has to be withdrawn).
• The applicant and members of the family must be close relatives.
• If you are newly married and have your name in your family ration card, you and your spouse should get name deletion certificates (Removing names from your respective family cards).

Fees

• Fee information can be obtained directly from the department office while applying.

Validity

• Usually valid for lifetime and will be renewed in 5 years or based on announcement.

Need for the Document

• For implementation of the Targeted Public Distribution System(TPDS), Ration Card is being issued to all the heads of families, with details about family members included in the card. Based on their economic condition, people can buy goods like food grains, sugar and kerosene with the help of their ration cards.
• Ration card is a mandatory document for all individuals in India. It has to be renewed before it gets expired.
• Ration card is essential to apply for passport, PAN card or a domicile certificate or to even get the name registered for electoral rolls to get a Voter ID.
