Procedure

Apply In-Person:

  1. Based on the notification / public advertisement issued by the “LOCAL GOVERNMENT SERVICE COMMISSION”, the deserving candidate shall obtain the notification from the Office of the Local Government Service Commission, Louis Pasteur Street, Forest Side or from the District Council of Flacq.

  3. The notification is also published under the “Vacancies” menu of the website : Link
  4. The applicants who are eligible as per the vacancy norms shall obtain the ‘LGSC Form 7a’ from the LGSC.
  5. the downloadable application form ‘LGSC Form 7a’: link
  6. Once you downloaded / got the form in person, please complete the application form as per the notification instruction and also as per the eligibility criteria.
  7. Those application that were not completed in full or doesn’t fall under the criteria fixed by the LGSC will not be considered.
  8. Please complete the application form and attach the documents that are listed under the notification as appropriate.
  9. Mention on top left of the envelop about the vacancy that the application is made for. Enclose the application and document set.
  10. Please mail it to the address as mentioned for accepting the application.
  11. Make necessary arrangement to get your acknowledgement. Those who use others address for getting the acknowledgement will not be considered.
  12. Once the acknowledgement is received, the applicant shall keep it safe as it will be mandatory for next set of activities.


Note: Currently online application method is not in use.

Mauritians who are 18 years of age or over and have attained a secondary school diploma or an equivalent qualification are eligible to apply for vacancies through the Local Government Service Commission in Mauritius.
