Here, click on the “Online Services” menu and then choose “Vehicle Related Services” option to get another page.
Here, please select the state from the drop down list to get another page.
Please make sure that the “Vehicle Registration No.” option is selected and then complete the prompts as appropriate, click on the check box and hit the “Proceed” button to get a popup.
Please click the “Proceed” button to close the pop-up and please elect the “Other Services” and then choose “Online Permit” to get another page.
Please complete the prompts for registration number and enter the last five digit of vehicle chassis number at the prompt as applicable and hit the “Proceed” button.
Now hit the “Generate OTP” if the mobile number provided on screen is available with you.
Please confirm the OTP verification as prompted and click the “Login” button.
In the resulting page, please select the “Temporary Permit” icon to reach another page. Here select the “Permit Applications” menu and choose “Temporary Permit” option.
In the resulting online filing page, please enter the prompted details as applicable and click on the appropriate button to go to another page.
Here, select and process the page requirements as applicable and hit the “NEXT” button.
In the resulting page, the applicant should provide and select respective details for permit and finally click on the “Submit Details” button.
A temporary application number will be displayed. Please keep it safe for future reference.
Hit on the “Verify Now” button. A new page will be provided. Please enter the application number just saved at the prompt and click on the “Show” button.
if the details retrieved are correct, then select the “Status” menu and choose “Make payment” option.
Pease complete the online payment using the mode applicable for you.
Once payment is remitted, please follow the on screen instructions to get the temporary vehicle permit downloaded.

No-objection Certificate from the financier if the vehicle is covered by hire purchase Agreement/Hypothecation/Lease.
Payment of green tax wherever applicable.
Pollution under control certificate
Proof of payment of tax for the current quarter.

ValidityEdit

Usually temporary permit is valid for 4 months(17 weeks) and can be renewed for a maximum of one year.
Renewal of permit can be obtained with Vehicle fitness certificate and FC as per authorities of concerned RTO.
The age of the vehicle also limits the validity.

Need for the DocumentEdit

Temporary Vehicle Permit is needed for
- Vehicle which has permit and need permit for another route or area
- Vehicle which doesn’t have permit, but need permit to operate for specific period to cater the need
Temporary Permits are effective for a limited period which shall not in any case exceed four months, to authorize the use of a transport vehicle temporarily for the conveyance of passengers on special occasions such as
- To and from fairs and religious gatherings
- For the purposes of a seasonal business,
- To meet a particular temporary need

The type and seating capacity of each such vehicle for Temporary Permits to the vehicles for the conveyance of passengers should be notified to the authorities.
FC (for clearance) is a process meant for reviewing the condition of the vehicle by the RTO authorities.
