ProcedureEdit

In person application:

  1. Report the stolen visa to the nearest police station and give an accurate event report to which lead to the disappearances of the visa, on which you will be issued with a police report
  2. Visit the ministry of immigration of Uganda or the embassy/consulate or high commissioner where you had initially apply for the visa in Uganda with all the requirement and request for assistance
  3. You will be required to re-apply for the visa and you will always need to provide a written account documenting the loss of your visa
  4. Fill in the application form accurately and attach all the required documents and submit them to the attending official who will verify and process your application
  5. If all the information are in order you will be issued with the visa upon payment of the required fees

Online application:

  1. Visit the immigration e-service website portal Immigration and click on Application and select “Replacement of permit”
  2. Read through the instruction carefully and fill it accurately, validate all the information are in order then click on “Check Permit to replace”
  3. Once the application is submitted it will be studied by an Immigration Officer. Please note that during the approval process additional information may be required. The new required information can be submitted electronically through Visascheck
  4. The decision taken on the application will be sent electronically through the email provided by the applicant.
  5. If approved, an approval letter will be sent as an attachment to the email provided upon payment of the application form
