ProcedureEdit

  1. To obtain a Trading License for Fumigation/Cleaning firms in Uganda,the applicant has to approach Municipality/town/city office head offices.
  2. Pick the application Form and fill all the required section as prescribed by the Authority.
  3. The applicant should show the parameters for fumigation and analysis clearly on the application form before submission.
  4. Attach all the required documents as prescribed by the Authority.You will also need to provide: Packing List,protective gears,type of medication to Use, risk assessment report,Medical report and Request Letter.
  5. Pay the appropriate fees in the Bank before submission.
  6. Once all the requirements are provided, the municipality/Town/City shall issue out a Fumigation/cleaning license/permit to the applicant.

Required DocumentsEdit

  • Applicant should obtain Clearance from Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives for non-nationals.
  • For new business - original certificate of registration (Business name)
  • Certificate of incorporation for a (Company)
  • Applicant should obtain clearance from Uganda Registration Services Bureau.
  • Original municipality receipt for the previous year indicating existing business
  • Original rent and tenancy agreement from the Land lord for the new business.

EligibilityEdit

Any person carrying out business in Municipality/Division/Town/City/Kampala City Council Authority’s jurisdiction except those who are exempted under Section 8(2) of the Trade Licensing Act are eligible to obtain Trading license for Fumigation/Cleaning firms.

FeesEdit

The founder must pay the relevant license fee at the bank, as follows:
Municipal Council Licence

  • (a) Grade I - 135,000 Ugsh
  • (b) Grade II - 75,000 Ugsh
  • (c) Grade III - 54,000 Ugsh
  • (d) Grade IV - 30,000 Ugsh

City Council Authority License Fee: (Grade I)

  • (a) Grade I - 150,000 Ugsh
  • (b) Grade II - 112,500 Ugsh
  • (c) Grade III - 60,000 UgShs
  • (d) Grade IV - 45,000 UgShs

Town Council Licence fee: (Grade 11)

  • (a) Grade I - 112,500 Ugx
  • (b) Grade II - 81,000 Ugx
  • (c) Grade III - 45,000 Ugx
  • (d) Grade IV - 32,400 Ugx

Municipal council Renewal Fee:

  • (a) Grade I - 135,000 Ugsh
  • (b) Grade II - 75,000 Ugsh
  • (c) Grade III - 54,000 Ugsh
  • (d) Grade IV - 30,000 Ugsh

City Council Authority License Fee:

  • (a) Grade I - 150,000 Ugshs
  • (b) Grade II - 112,500 Ugshs
  • (c) Grade III - 60,000 Ugshs

  • Purpose of this Licence is to regulate the trade of Fumigation/Cleaning firms in Uganda.
  • It’s a Legal requirement for any person selling goods and services as provided for by the Licensing Act CAP 101 to enable Municipality/Division/City Council Authority (KCCA) regulate trade and order.
  • Besides the said above regulatory role, payment of trade license fees contributes towards the financing of Municipality/Division/City Council Authority’s service delivery.

  • Names, Physical and Postal Address of Applicant
  • Legal Status of the Applicant
  • List and Particulars of Shareholders;
  • Certificate of Registration,
  • Certificate of Incorporation,
  • Memorandum and Articles of Association
  • Deed of Partnership,
  • Deed of Trust, as applicable
  • Information if the shareholder has ever been convicted of a criminal offence in Uganda or in any other country.
  • List and Particulars of Directors.
  • information if you have ever acquired a Licence and state the nature of the Licence, date issued and the Licence number
