ProcedureEdit
- Fish control permit can be obtained from Ministry of Agriculture animal industry and Fisheries.
- No person who is not a citizen of Uganda shall fish in any waters of Uganda for the purpose of obtaining fish for sale unless he or she holds a valid specific licence issued for that purpose.
- Any person who, without a valid specific licence issued for that purpose—
- engages in the processing of fish or any fish product in any prescribed place or area; or
- engages, in any prescribed place or area, in the marketing, purchase or sale of fish, commits an offence.
- Fill up the appropriate application form as described by the Ministry of agriculture animal industry and fisheries.
- After filling the form proceed to pay the prescribed fee
- Submit the dully filled in form,attached with pay slip to the fisheries Officer in charge of the area.
- Collect your Fish control permit from where your application was submitted within a day from the date the application was received at Ministry of Agriculture animal industry and fisheries in case there is no rejection.

- Fishers (Barriers) should be 18 years and above.
- Fishing licence
- Fish landing site details
- Fish pass
- Fishing equipment Details.
- Possesses legal fishing gears and appliances.
- Work permit from Ministry of Internal Affairs
