ProcedureEdit
- To obtain a death certificate, you will need to visit the Civil Registry at Registration House in Port of Spain.
- Submit all the required documents.
- Pay the necessary fee.

Required DocumentsEdit
- The Medical Certificate of the Cause of Death, together with the deceased person's Birth or Marriage Certificate and National ID Card.
- The ID Card of the person registering the death.

A death can be registered by:
- A relative of the deceased.
- A person present at the death or responsible for arranging the funeral.
FeesEdit
The fee to register a death is TT$25.00.

Need for the DocumentEdit
A death registration must be made within five days of a death at the Registrar of Births and Deaths in the district where the death occurred, unless there is a Coroner's investigation, which may take longer.
