Procedure

1. To register the birth, applicants will need to go to the local Civil Registry where the child was born. For births abroad, the child's parents will need to go to the nearest diplomatic or consular office of Togo.
2. Submit the certificate issued by the medical personnel who delivered the baby.
3. The declaration of birth must be made within 45 days following the birth of the child. Births can still be registered after but the informant or the applicant will need to submit additional documents.
