- Step 1 : First one has to make sure that all the required documents are in hand to apply online. If you would like to know about the documents that are required for this procedure, please visit the following link : Required Documents for Register as an Architect
- Step 2 : To apply for Registering as an Architect online, the applicant must first visit the official website of the South African Council for the Architectural Profession by clicking the following link: Apply Online
- Step 3 : If you are an already registered person, click on “RP Login” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image on the top right corner.
- Step 4 : In the page that opens, enter your login details and click “SIGN IN” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.. If you are a first time applicant, click “Click here to Register ” which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image.
- Step 5 : In the page that opens, select the “Application for registration” radio button and click “CONTINUE” button which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image.
- Step 6 : Then, provide your registration information like Username, First and Last names in the respective fields. Click “CONTINUE” button which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image.
- Step 7 : In the Membership Selection page, click the “ACCEPT THIS MEMBERSHIP AND CONTINUE” button which is highlighted in "Red" in the below image and proceed.
- Step 8 : In Step 2, the applicant will have to provide the Member information under the fields provided.
- Step 9 : Fill all the information as required in the relevant fields under each tab and the fields marked with ‘red asterisk’ are mandatory to be filled. Upload documents wherever necessary by clicking “Upload File” button and proceed.
- Step 10 : Note that you can set visibility for your information that you provide while registration, by clicking the ‘lock’ symbol under the respective field.
- Step 11 : After completely filling the Member information and uploading required documents, click “SUBMIT” button which is highlighted in "Green" in the below image. Then, proceed to complete the further steps and finish the registration.
- Step 12 : Pay the fees as directed by the on-screen instructions and complete the registration. Then, your registration as an architect with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession will be done after the necessary internal processes.
- Step 13 : After that, you can use the services provided in the SACAP portal by logging into the portal using your Username and Password.
