Step 1 : First one has to make sure that all the required documents are in hand to apply online. If you would like to know about the documents that are required for this procedure, please visit the following link : Required Documents to Register as a Health Professional
Step 2 : To register as a Health Professional online, the applicant has to visit the online portal of the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) by clicking the following link: Apply Online
Step 3 : Click the “Log in or Sign up” button on the top right corner which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

Step 4 : If you already have an account, you can enter the user details in the respective fields in the dialogue and click “Log In” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image or Else, click “Create an Account” button which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image to create an account.

Step 5 : Select “No” option from the drop down list box which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

Step 6 : Enter all the details in the Account creation page and click “Create Account” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

Step 7 : In the page that opens, click “Online Services” tab which is on the top. Under the “Online Registrations” menu, select the option as applicable to your need.
Step 8 : In the Terms and conditions page, scroll down and select the check box and click “Next” button. Introduction page will be displayed, have a glance and click “Next” button.
Step 9 : In the “New Applicant’s Details” page, your personal and contact details will appear. Check once, edit if you want edit anything, and then click “Next” button.
Step 10 : Then proceed to fill and complete the further sections of the application, by uploading required documents, paying the required fees and finally completing the “Declaration” page.
Step 11 : Select the check box under the “Declaration” tab and select the second check box if you want HPCSA to courier the Certificate. Click “Submit” button and then, click “Finish” button.
Step 12 : After submission, the application form and attached documents will be verified and validated correspondingly by the concerned officials.
Step 13 : If the registrar is satisfied that the qualifications and the other documents submitted in support of the application satisfy the requirements for registration he shall, upon payment by the applicant of the prescribed registration fee, issue a registration certificate authorising the applicant, in any mode that the applicant prefers.
