Step 1 : First one has to make sure that all the required documents are in hand to apply online. If you would like to know about the documents that are required for this procedure, please visit the following link : Required Documents to Register a Charity
Step 2 : To apply for registering a Charity online, the applicant must visit the following link: Apply Online
Step 3 : In the registration page, enter all the necessary details in the relevant fields and proceed to complete the form.
Step 4 : First, specify the type of organization which you want registration for. Make the selection as applicable to you by clicking the relevant radio button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

Step 5 : Then, complete all other details and fill all the text boxes with appropriate details. After completing, click “NEXT” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

Step 6 : In the next page, you have to add office bearers by clicking the “Add a office bearer” option. When you click it, “Add office bearer Appointment” box will open which you have to complete and click “Add” button.
Step 7 : First Office bearer will be added successfully and the fields will be reset for adding successive Office bearers’. Do it as before and add at least three office bearers and click “Next” button.
Step 8 : The next page will be documents upload page, click “Choose file” button and upload documents, then click “Next” button. Accept the declaration in the next page by checking the box and click “Submit” button.
Step 9 : In the next page, Application details will be displayed as a preview which will also contain a Reference number on the top right corner. This reference number will be useful for the applicant to enquire the progress.
Step 10 : After receiving the application, the department will send a letter of acknowledgement as a proof of your application via email.
Step 11 : Then, the authorities concerned will go through and analyse the application and attachments submitted to decide whether the application should be approved or not.
Step 12 : On approval, you will be issued with the Registration certificate. If the application has been declined, you will be given the reason in writing.
Step 13 : If you are unhappy with the reason stated, you can appeal to the Arbitration panel for reconsideration.
