Apply In Person:
- To Register as teacher you have to approach the Teacher Recruitment board or Education Board.
- Link for Contact:Education Department Link
- Get the application form from the respective officer or write it on an A4 sheet.
- Fill all the details in the form and attach all the required documents as mentioned in the document section of this page.
- Make sure if you are eligible to register as teacher.
- Submit the application form and required documents to the concerned officer.
- Pay the required fee for to register as teacher.
- Follow authorities instructions to get the registration certificate.
Apply Online through NCTE Portal: - Register as Teacher through NCTE Portal Online with images
- Teacher Pupils Undergoing or already passed out from any National Council for Teacher Education(NCTE)recognized teacher education program in India except Jammu and Kashmir may visit the NCTE website at Online Teacher Registration Management System(OTRMS) for Registration. To register as teacher through National Council for Teacher Education by online, click on the following link:Online portal
- Now scroll down to the bottom and Click on the “Teacher-Pupil Registration”.
- Now enter the required details and click on the “Register Now” button.
- Then registration form will open enter all the required details you will receive OTP at your registered E-mail Id, enter the OTP and Click on the “Submit” Button.
- Next Teacher-Pupil Registration form will be opened, now enter all the required information and upload all the required documents.
- After filling all the information click the “Add” button to add the details in all the sections to save the information.
- Atlast click on the “Submit Application” to submit it.
- Now enter your Username and Password and click the “Login” button.
- Now read the note and click on the People option and check your form if any corrections means correct it by clicking on the “Update” button.
- Now put a tick mark in the I agree box and click on the “Freeze Profile Details” and then click “Ok” button.
- After that Once again it will show your details, check that and put a tick Mark in the “I agree” box and click on the “Freeze Profile Details” and then click “OK” Button.
- Next do payment by clicking on the “Proceed for Payment” and pay the amount.
- After paying print the Payment acknowledgement and application for Future reference.
- Follow authorities instructions to get the registration certificate.

EligibilityEdit
- In order to become a Government Teacher, candidate should have the acquired the minimum educational qualification required for the level they intend to Teach (PRT, TGT, PGT Pre-Primary Teacher) and should qualify the Central Teacher Eligibility Test/ State Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET/TET).
- You must pass the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) to qualify to teach in a government-owned school and some private institutions.
- To teach in a public school, educators must obtain licensure in a specific grade level. While requirements for licensure vary by state, educators must usually hold a bachelor's degree with a minimum GPA, pass a background check, complete a student teaching program, and pass a subject-specific exam

- The following category of institutes, as per NCTE Regulations, 2014, as amended from time to time are only eligible for Online Registration. If the interested institutes are not meeting the given below eligibility criteria, they may contact the NCTE Helpline before registering themselves:
- Institutes established by or under the authority of the Central or State Government or Union Territory Administrations;
- Institutions financed by the Central or State Government or Union Territory Administrations;
- All universities/institutions/deemed to be universities, so recognized or declared as such, under the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 (3 of 1956);
- No user can register more than once on the site. Please note that once you register yourself on the NCTE site, you are deemed to have agreed to the terms and conditions set forth below.
