South Africa - Online Register Financial Services Co-operative


Step 1 : First one has to make sure that all the required documents are in hand to apply online. If you would like to know about the documents that are required for this procedure, please visit the following link : Required Documents to Register Financial Services Co-operative
Step 2 : To apply for registering Financial Services Co-operative electronically, click on the following link: Apply Online
Step 3 : In the page that opens, click “CUSTOMER REGISTRATION” option which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image on the left side.

Step 4 : In the ID number verification page, answer the yes or no question as applicable. Click “YES” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image if you have South African ID or “NO” button which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image if not.

Step 5 : If yes, you will have to enter the ID number and your Surname in the relevant fields and click “CONTINUE” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

Step 6 : If not, you will have to enter your Passport number and click “CONTINUE” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

Step 7 : In the next page, enter all the Personal Details and Contact Information and click “Register” button. Registration success message and your customer code will be displayed in the next page. Click “Continue” button to proceed.
Step 8 : In the next page, you will have to create a password for your account. Type the password that you want in the relevant and update any of the already entered details if you want, as applicable and click “Update” button.
Step 9 : Update success message will appear. To make use of the services, you have to load money in your account by clicking “Balance Top-up” button. Select the applicable option in the next page and click “Add to cart” button.
Step 10 : Now, click “Pay Now” button, enter the card details, click “Pay now” button and proceed to make payment as directed.
Step 11 : After payment, click “Transact” button on the top right corner of the homepage. Select “Name Reservations” option from the options available and select “Proposed Names” button in the next page.
Step 12 : Enter at least one or a maximum of four proposed names for the enterprise, in order of preference. Click on “Submit Proposed Name” button. A screen will display, indicating if the exact name test was successful or not.
Step 13 : If the test for one of the proposed names was not successful, it will be indicated with a cross. Click on “Back” button and propose another name if you want to add another name. Then, click on “Lodge Name Reservation” button.
Step 14 : The next screen will indicate that the proposed name(s) has been lodged, and provide you with a tracking number. Click on either “Back to Name Reservations” button or on “Home” button.
Step 15 : After that, scanned copies of CO-OP 1 form, Constitution, Identity documents and a name reservation form should be submitted to the commission via following email address: cooperativesonline@cipc.co.za
Step 16 : After all the processes have got completed, the concerned authorities will proceed to make the amendments for the registration process.
Step 17 : The applicant can obtain any information regarding the progress of his/her request, from the office of CIPC.
