Jamaica - Online Obtain Veterinary Import Permit (Online)

Step 2 : The Veterinary Service Division (VSD) is a division under the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries and it is involved in import and export inspection of live animals, meats, and meat products among other services offered by the VSD. You can view the VSD contact details via the contacts provided in the “Office Locations & Contacts” section below.

Step 3 : To Obtain the Veterinary Import, you should submit your application online using the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Trade System (MOATRADE). Visit the MOATRADE website: Apply Online

Step 4 : Once on the website, if you are a registered user Login to the system by entering the “username” and “password” and click on the “Login” button which is pointed out by a “Red” arrow in the below image.

Step 5 : If you are a newuser Click on the “Not yet registered? click here” hyperlink which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image to create an account.

Step 6 : Fill all the required details for registration.

Step 7 : Select “Ministry of Agriculture & Lands” checkbox which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image under “Agency Selection”.

Step 8 : After filling all the details click on the “Continue” Button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

Step 9 : Choose the permit type i.e., Veterinary import, and submit your application for processing.

Step 10 : Upon submission of the application, an email will be sent to your address advising you of the approval and how to proceed.

Step 11 : Log into your MOATRADE account and on your Dashboard under “VETERINARY IMPORT”, click on “Apply for Import Permit from Veterinary Services Division” to go to the Import permit online form.

Step 12 : Enter the required details including the; Taxpayer registration details, Consignee Name, and the Consignor Country and select additional items from the Item box and click on “Continue” to submit your application.

Step 13 : Then pay the application fee online using a debit or credit card or at the Cashier located at the Veterinary Services Division, MICAF 193 Old Hope Road, and Kingston 6.

Step 14 : Then the VSD will complete processing your import permit and issue it to you.
